Windows 10: Wired earphones not working on Dell laptop Windows 11

I recently purchased wired earphones with a 3.5mm jack and am experiencing issues connecting them to my laptop. The laptop fails to recognize the earphones, and the microphone on the wired earphones is not functioning.In the sound settings on the Control Panel, it indicates in the Playback Tab that the "Headphones Realtek R Audio" are not plugged in, even though the wired earphones are currently connected to my laptop. I also don't understand why it states in the device status that "This device is working properly" even though it's not.I looked online to figure out whether it's an audio prob

Hey there,

Ever since i installed windows 11 i have not been able to use wired earphones on my laptop. is there any way to solve this as i would really like to use wired earphones on my laptop.

Additionally, after updated to windows 11, it keeps draining my 8G RAM. I cannot revert to window 10 easily but I would very much like to.

For the wire earphone, I tried Headphones not working on windows 11 - Microsoft Community (Replied on January 20, 2022) which doesn't work at all

Hi Igor,

My wired earphone is not detected (below screenshot). I am sure that I plugged in my wired earphone and the same earphone is working with other computers. Usually, if I plugged in my wired earphone and restart the computer it would work. it would not work if I plugged out the earphone and plugged it again. That means I have to plugged in earphone and restart to make the earphone work. However, it is not always feasible. Do you have further suggestions please? Thanks.
