    Hi everyone,So I've been having an odd problem with my internet for a little over 3 weeks now relatively new issue. My wired internet speed supposed to be a Gigabit on my PC is poor and inconsistent dropping briefly, but then reestablishing when trying to stream video like on YouTube, or downloading files in browsers. Some web sites which require more downloading also run extremely slowly, or connections are unstable. However, when I download something on a program like Steam, it seems to sustain steadily albeit more slowly than typical. It makes doing some tasks extremely difficult.

    I just bought a windows 10 pc, I plugged the wired connection at the back, but there is no Ethernet connection only WIFI. i CANNOT even find Ethernet in the Networking and sharing Centre!

    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Have you tried using a different Ethernet cable? If so, may we know the result?
    • Are you experiencing the same issue on all of your devices?

    Thank you for your help.

    The problem is not yet solved but becomes even more strange. Let me explain: I did as instructed to open the device manager when it is connected by WIFI, AND I COULD NOT FIND AN ETHERNET CONTROLLER. But when I left the pc to sleep, and after a few times
    of awaking it up, It suddenly has the Ethernet connection connected and I then CAN FIND AN ETHERNET FAMILY CONTROLLER! The problem is, if the pc is restarted for any reason, such as after a new update, the Ethernet connection would be missing again!

    What should I do to keep the Ethernet connection permanently?
