  1. Wired headphones are not recognized windows 11

I recently purchased a pair of new headphones with a connected microphone. The cord is a 3.5mm jack. I plugged them in but the sound still comes out of the computer's built in speaker. The headphones do not appear in control panel or audio output/input settings. I have tried so much from the internet.

  2. Add wired headphones to windows 11

I use wired (not Bluetooth) headphones on Windows 11. They worked last night, but not this morning. When I checked my output devices, my headphones had disappeared. My system doesn't seem to detect my headphones anymore. What may have happened, and how can I get the system to recognize my headphones?

  3. Windows 11, Headphones are funtional but not recognized.

I recently installed Windows 11, and while I've not experienced any major problems, I've noted an issue with my headphones. I use a wired pair. When I hook them into the 3.5 mm jack, they do work, but the actual computer does not recognize them as a seperate device. In the audio settings, it just lists the speakers as the current audio device. Annoyingly, this removes the auto muting and unmuting that generally occurs when the headphones are removed or connected. For various reasons this has been a nuisance in the short time I've had the update. Is there anyway to make the computer recognize the headphones as a sperate device?

    Headphones recognized as Speakers...

    Hi Ahri,

Having your headphones recognized as speaker when plugged in at the back of your PC could be the reason why the audio is low. To help us isolate the problem, we suggest running first the audio troubleshooter from the link Fix
    sound problems
    .

In case the issue persists, then let's remap or retask your Realtek audio jack and see if it addresses the issue. To do that, follow the steps below:

    • Open the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
    • In the back panel, right click the option where your headphone is connected.
    • Choose the option Connector Retasking, then select Headphone.

Feel free to update us with the result so we can further assist you.

    Regards.
