Windows 10: Wired Microsoft Ergonomic Mouse Tracking Freezes Regularly

I have purchased the wired Microsoft Ergonomic Mouse for a year. Recently, it freezes regularly. Initially I thought it was something related to driver or power saving, but I was wrong. With a second mouse connected as an immediate work around, I found that all the mouse button and the wheel of the MS Ergonomic Mouse actually worked. It's just not tracking the movement intermittently. I'd like to know if it is hardware, software, or firmware issue and see if I need a software fix or replacement.

Did Microsoft ever produce a wired ergonomic mouse?

Hey,

I consider upgrading to ergonomic keyboard and mouse.

I am a fan of Microsoft products, but I disliked wireless hardware.

I can use the keyboard mode 4000, but couldn't find a wired ergonomic mouse by Microsoft.

Has such a product ever been released? I am not necessarily after new products, just be it wired and ergonomic. Old stock is fine.

While the product that you're looking for is not available, Microsoft did produce a wired mice. Please visit

Please confirm the following things for me.

1. What is the make and model of your system?
   
2. Was there any major change on your system prior to which you were able to use the mouse without any issues?
   
3. Does the issue with the mouse occur when it is used on a different system?
   

I would suggest you to update the driver for your mouse under ‘Mice and other pointing devices’. You can follow the steps in this article on ‘Update
drivers in Windows 10’ and uninstall the mouse driver.

Kindly restart the system and check if this worked out for you.
