Windows 10: Wireless 802.1x user authentication issue prior to Windows logon

Encountering a strange issue here and struggling to find any information as to why this may be happening or if there is any way around this...We have a RADIUS authentication SSID with WPA2-Enterprise via NPS. All of our APs are trusted clients within NPS, and we have an NPS policy to support PEAP-MSCHAPv2. We deployed a group policy to specifically enforce user authentication, as we do not want machine authentication. This has worked well across our domain-joined devices. 802.1X environment problems with authentication after 1903 update

Since the 1903 update i have been experiencing authentication problems with some windows 10 machines in our network. Are there any more information about this issue than what was suggested

here?

 

Wireless Sign-on with browser logon

Hi All,

I find myself constantly logging on to wireless networks that redirect the browser to a logon page when you first try to open a site. I especially hate that I need to re-authenticate when I move between buildings on the campus or if my phone is asleep too
long.

I am looking for something to auto logon to the wireless when it sees I am connected to a SSID that requires the additional browser step. I dont want to open IE and log on just to close it so I can use <some non-IE applcation>.

Any suggestions? I can't seem to come up with a good phrase to google without getting tones of unrelated hits.
