Wireless Adapter is causing all sorts of problems

Hello guys I really need your help. I recently noticed that my PC isn't working as intended and for some reason it always looks like these problems are linked to my wireless adapter. For example it disconnects randomly and when I reboot the PC (sorry I'm not very good with PC and often rebooting is the only way I try to resolve these issues) I encountered problems like: PC doesn't recognize keyboard, mouse or any kind of peripheral; in some cases it doesn't even shut down and I'm forced to unplug it. My wireless adapter is a Realtek 8812BU. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I need the PC for University and for work so if I don't fix the problem I'm screwed.

    Thank you in advance

  2. Loads of problems caused by wireless adapter

    Hello TenForums!

First off thank-you for your support, I've troubled through my PC related issues for some time now and your my last hope.

It all started with the random distorted audio (DPC Latency), then the mouse "skips" and finially the BSOD's. I traced the issues to my wireless networking adapter. The Asus PCE-N15, many, many different driver combo's could not fix my issues. I tried BIOS versions, clean install's and other drivers from different companies. I downloaded a program called LatencyMon to try and diagnose. I've attached my results.

I don't know if the Latency affects my mouse but It doesn't hop, lag or skip when the network adpater is disabled.

    Hi Penny Wells,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when things do not work as they should. However, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

    1. What is the make and model of the computer?
    2. What is the model of the TV?

This issue can occur if there is pending firmware update or the issue with the drivers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and let us know about the results:

Method 1: Fix connections to wireless displays or docks.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the Microsoft article on

Method 2: Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

If method 1 doesn’t fix the issue, I would suggest you to follow all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the Microsoft article on
    Troubleshooting Wireless
    Display Adapters
refer the steps ‘Having trouble connecting your device to the adapter?’

Note: The above article contains steps regarding Firmware update.
