Windows 10: Wireless Display Adapter Not Connecting When Resuming Windows from Sleep State

I have a Microsoft 4k wireless adapter.Recently, Windows and the Display Adapter have had several updates.Now, it appears the display adapter does not connect after the computer resumes from a sleep state.The current workaround is to restart the computer and sometimes even unplug the display adapter from the power source to reboot. This workaround was not necessary prior to the update patches for both Windows and the Display Adapter.I am eligible for Windows 11 free upgrade, but not sure if this alone would resolve. Prefer not to upgrade to Windows 11 just for this reason.

Windows Wireless Display Adapter-not connecting anymore

Hello Phillip,

Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
   Action Center.
3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
   Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
   
2. What is the model of the TV?
   

This issue can occur if there is pending firmware update or the issue with the drivers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and let us know about the results:
