Windows 10: Wireless Display Adapter software crashing when connected to Wireless Display

Hello,I am attempting to update the firmware, and image on my Wireless Display Adapter 4K from Microsoft. When I attempted to make changes to the adapter with it plugged in, the program starts, and promptly crashes without any input from me. I attempted to do this on two separate machines, both experience a crash. I ran SFC and DISM, with no luck. Both machines I attempted it on are running Windows 11 24H2, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.48.0. Please help, previous articles on this subject were no help and are already closed without resolution. Kind Regards.

Windows Wireless Display Adapter-not connecting anymore

Hello Phillip,

Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
   Action Center.
3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
   Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.

Issue with connecting Dual monitor with Wireless Display Adapter

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
   
2. What is the model of the TV?
   

This issue can occur if there is pending firmware update or the issue with the drivers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and let us know about the results:
