Windows 10: Wireless Display Adapter won't connect after the first connection

I have a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter connected to a TV and attempting to connect to it from a Windows 10 PC. I can connect to it once successfully and once I disconnect from it, I can't reconnect to it without messing around with the adapter, like resetting it and unplugging it. There are no errors that I'm aware of, the it just times out while attempting to connect, after trying for maybe a minute or two.

Windows Wireless Display Adapter-not connecting anymore

Hello Phillip,

Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
   Action Center.
3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
   Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when things do not work as they should. However, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
   
2. What is the model of the TV?
   

This issue can occur if there is pending firmware update or the issue with the drivers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and let us know about the results:
