  1. Wireless display issues

Hi, I recently uninstalled the Wireless display optional feature from my laptop because it wasn’t working, and now when I try to reinstall it the installation fails. It’s telling me to check my Windows Insider programme setting which I have, I’ve joined and left the insider programme, still nothing. I searched up the issue online and tried to install it via elevated command prompt, still gives an error. I don’t have metered connection on and I’ve tried three seperate WiFi connections. I’ve tried changing the DNS address on my WiFi settings and I’ve even reset the entire PC. Still nothing works

    :)

This issue can occur if there is pending firmware update or the issue with the drivers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and let us know about the results:

Method 1: Fix connections to wireless displays or docks.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the Microsoft article on

If method 1 doesn’t fix the issue, I would suggest you to follow all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the Microsoft article on

    Display Adapters
refer the steps ‘Having trouble connecting your device to the adapter?’

Note: The above article contains steps regarding Firmware update.
Modifying BIOS settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS
settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.
