Windows 10: Wireless Keyboard 850 Insert Key Returning the Wrong Key Code

I bought a Wireless Keyboard 850 a couple of months ago. There's only one application I use the Insert key with, and I only use that application occasionally. I just tried to use it today, for possibly the first time since I bought the keyboard, and I noticed the application was not picking up when I pressed the Insert key.


The following link, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.console.readkey?view=netframework-4.8 , has the source code for a small C# console application that will display the key info about whatever key was pressed. When I ran it the console application correctly identified various keys such as Delete, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down and Enter. However, when I pressed the Insert key, instead of displaying the correct ConsoleKey enum value, the application displayed the value 255.


I checked the ConsoleKey enum values here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.consolekey?view=netframework-4.8 The enum has no value corresponding to 255.


This appears to indicate that the Insert key is sending a key code when it's pressed but not the right one. Is there some sort of setting that needs to be altered to correct this, or is the keyboard faulty?


The keyboard settings are set to English US keyboard.
