Windows 10: Wireless Keyboard and Mouse cut out, freeze, drop connection on Surface laptop 7

My logitech mouse and microsoft keyboard keep freezing, lagging, drop connection on my surface laptop 7 with ARM processor.I've tried with and without 3 foot USB extension cables to get the keyboard/mouse dongle's as close to the keyboard/mouse as possible. That made no change.Sometimes when typing if this glitch happens, the computer might just keep typing the same letter over and over. When this has happened, sometimes I can use the escape key on the laptop keyboard to stop this, but i've also had to do a hard reboot because unplugging the keyboard usb dongle didn't have any affect. Wireless Mouse connects as a keyboard

Hi there.

I've tried doing all of these steps, and it still doesn't work. I can see the device in 'Connected devices' in 'Settings'. It is listed as 'Microsoft Nano Tranceiver' but has a keyboard icon next to it. the mouse is a Microsoft Mouse 1850. This also occurs
with other wireless mice I have tried, and they connect but all have the keyboard icon next to them.

Bluetooth driver goes missing when using with Surface wireless keyboard and mouse

Thank you but both your novice solutions does not work. Did you read my earlier problem? It is not about updating the driver at all. The problem keeps on persisting. The driver is for the
Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Dual Band Wireless-AC N1535 - 802.11 AC/A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module + Bluetooth 4.1 [M.2 Chip].

What happens is that my laptop will suddenly stop connecting with all BT devices. More accurately, the BT device receiver to recognize BT devices goes missing. It only works when I reinstall the driver. This problem does not happen with other Bluetooth
devices but only when I connect with Microsoft Wireless Surface Keyboard and Mouse. Currently my laptop has no problem connecting with Dell Premier Wireless Keyboard, Mouse, and my Bose Wireless noise cancelling headphone for a couple of months now. The minute
I connect with the surface devices, it goes poof. When I purchase this from the Microsoft store in San Francisco, the sales person assured me that there would be no problems.

Surface Keyboard driver ready - No Surface Keyboard Here

Interesting followup. After using this same Microsoft Mouse on my second machine (20H2) yesterday; today within 12 hours, it too automatically got this Surface Keyboard Driver.

My other primary machine got a clean install of 21H1 yesterday, and while it has a wireless mouse, it's not Microsoft's and has yet to see this mandatory Surface Keyboard driver installed

I'll wait a few days and test this clean install with the MS Mouse and see if this Surface Keyboard driver appears within half a day.. My guess for why it's not showing up on the optional list is because Microsoft considers it a mandatory security patch.
