  1. Wireless keyboard is recognized, but input does not work. What can I do?

Hello all,I have a problem with my wireless keyboard see below for my previous attempts at a solution and hardware / software specifications:The USB receiver of my keyboard was worn out at some point, so it didn't fit properly in the USB port anymore. As a result, my laptop hardly recognized my keyboard anymore, so I had the keyboard company send me a new USB receiver. It fits tightly and my laptop recognizes it reliably. In the device settings, the keyboard is displayed under "Input" with a green dot see picture 1.However, when I type on the switched-on wireless keyboard, no input is made

  2. Keyboard input lag (Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, Windows 10 20H2)

Hi there. I've got yet another Windows 10 problem. lol

This time it's my keyboard. I'm using a Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, on Windows 10 Pro 20H2. I have been experiencing keyboard input lag off and on for a couple months now, and I've searched for possible solutions, but none so far have worked. I was hoping you guys could suggest some fixes.

Here's what I've tried, based on the suggestions I've found on the web:
    • Updating the keyboard/dongle's drivers (there are no drivers on Logitechs's site, oddly) and firmware. Nope.
    • Swapping USB ports. Nada.
    • Unplugging any extraneous USB devices. Zilch.
    • Checking the batteries. No joy.

As I was typing this it was lagging here and there. It's a bit disconcerting. Anyway... I don't think I missed anything, but if you need more information or diagnostics, lemme know and I'll upload 'em.

  3. Wireless keyboard is recognized, but input does not work. What can I do?

    Hello all,

I have a problem with my wireless keyboard (see below for my previous attempts at a solution and hardware / software specifications):

The USB receiver of my keyboard was worn out at some point, so it didn't fit properly in the USB port anymore. As a result, my laptop hardly recognized my keyboard anymore, so I had the keyboard company send me a new USB receiver. It fits tightly and my laptop recognizes it reliably. In the device settings, the keyboard is displayed under "Input" with a green dot (see Figure 1).

However, when I type on the switched-on wireless keyboard, no input is made.

What I have tried so far (in various permutations):

    • Unplugging and replugging USB receiver, on different USB ports (always the same: keyboard is recognized flawlessly, but no input possible).
    • Computer reboot.
    • Remove and re-add the keyboard in the Device Settings and (see Figure 2) the Device Manager.
    • Automatically check for keyboard driver updates in Device Manager (there are none).
    • Replace keyboard batteries.
    • Pray.
    Specifications:

    • Windows version: Windows 11 Education (23H2).
    • Keyboard: Cherry Stream Keyboard Wireless (JK-8550DE-2).
    • Laptop: Dell Inspiron 7577.
Since my laptop is slightly battered and the built-in keyboard is starting to fail in some places, I depend on an external keyboard. Therefore, already many thanks for the help and best regards

  4. Wireless keyboard is recognized, but input does not work. What can I do?

    Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard not recognized.

I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard package. Its the Microsoft wireless mouse 500 and the wireless comfort keyboard 5050. It worked great for a while, but I got a Windows 10 update, and all of a sudden when I plug in the usb, I get an error saying
it has malfunctioned or Windows doesn't recognize it. I tried reinstalling the 'Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center', but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
