Windows 10: Wireless Microsoft mouse jitter prevents remote control

I just encountered and managed to work around a vexing situation. I was able to connect remotely from home to a PC in my office using commonly-deployed remote software that I had previously installed, but I could not seize control of the device. When I asked the software to always show the remote cursor, I could see it ever so slightly jittering. This is a PC that I was in the process of setting up for a user, so it's not in a great physical setup, and I remembered that the mouse may have been left sitting on top of a plastic tote bin with a translucent lid. Jittering mouse

So here is what is happening

it started out with my mouse randomly freakomg out and jittering, the jittering is stopped when I move the mouse and the mouse doesn't bounce around the screen rather it stays in a place relative to where my mouse pointer was before the jittering

But just I few moments ago I let it jitter and it moved upwards, now I am very forgetful and I may of just moved the mouse pointer upwards but still im worried something bad might be happening

Run the Hardware and Devices
troubleshooter and check.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on troubleshooting, then click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Not working wireless mouse could be due to the following:

• Outdated device driver
• No device driver installed
• Faulty wireless mouse receiver

We would like to know some information to better isolate the issue:

• Have you done any changes (like updating your Windows) on your computer prior to the issue?
  
• Have you tried using using your wireless mouse on other computer and checked if the issue persists?
• Have you tried updating your wireless mouse driver?
