    Wireless mouse and keyboard only work when on top of laptop


    I have a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop Keyboard and Mouse. For some reason, it has suddenly started only working when placed literally on top of my laptop keyboard itself - any further away and it becomes extremely laggy and unusable. The same applies to the mouse which only works when right next to the usb port in which the keyboard usb thing is plugged.I've tried restarting the laptop, checking batteries and connecting points, reinstalling drivers for the mouse, keyboard and even usb port, and am at a loss as to why it has suddenly started requiring such extreme proximity. Any help wo
