Wireless mouse not recognizing other monitor

Today I went to a wireless keyboard so that I could use that instead of my laptop keyboard since it's easier to type with. I have dual monitors and the mouse that I was previously using with the laptop worked perfectly. When I went to the wireless keyboard with the wireless mouse that came with it, I can only click on the dual monitor screen and not my laptop screen. Cursor will not move to the laptop screen, nor can I move any windows to the laptop screen. I'm on Windows 10.

    :)

    Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard not recognized.

I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard package. Its the Microsoft wireless mouse 500 and the wireless comfort keyboard 5050. It worked great for a while, but I got a Windows 10 update, and all of a sudden when I plug in the usb, I get an error saying
it has malfunctioned or Windows doesn't recognize it. I tried reinstalling the 'Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center', but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
