Windows 10: Wireless Network Adapter/Driver has Gone Rogue

Specs: HP Pavilion x360 ConvertibleOS: Windows 10 64 bitMy daughter's laptop is no longer recognizing the wireless network adapter. The driver is missing in action. It used to show up as hidden intelR Wireless-AC Adapter 9461, but now it's not there at all. When it was still there as hidden, I tried actions>update drivers, to no avail. I tried installing the driver package from HP, then from intel but neither worked. I factory reset, but it still is not there. I was unable to complete the initial "connect to internet" prompt until I tethered my phone. We suspect this all started after a

Step 1: Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

• Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.
