Windows 10: Wireless network problem in windows 7

Hello! A couple if days ago I decided to downgrade my old laptop from windows 10 to windows 7 in order for it to run better....when windows 10 was installed the wifi and all were working but in windows 7 it shows me no connections are available.... The network device shows up in adapter settings but in shows that it is not connected . I know Microsoft stopped support in 2020 but I want to make it work..

The command in step 2 of Option Two should show your wireless networks listed in priority order. Top of the list is higher.

Thanks for trying the steps again. It's now clear that the problem is on your router. To reconnect your laptop to the network, we suggest that you set or specify the channel of your wireless network. If you can access your router's user interface, set the
channel to either channel 1, 6, or 11. Once done, remove your WiFi network from your preferred network list, then reconnect.

Wireless Network problem with Windows 7

I am having some problems with the Wireless Networking on a Laptop running Windows 7 and would like to request some help.

I have a Dell Studio 1745 laptop running running Windows 7 Professional (version 6.1, Build 7601 Service Pack 1), connecting via wireless to a router. I also have a Dell Inspiron 5737 Laptop (running Windows 10) connecting to the same router, with a printer
and 2 mobile phones all on the same wireless network. Until a couple of weeks ago, everything worked fine.

Now, the Studo laptop cannot see the wireless router or anything else on the wireless network. Everything else on the network is ok. As far as I'm aware, nothing has changed. I have checked a number of things, but nothing has led me to a resolution ...

1) The wireless capability on the Studio laptop is switched ON (checked via Windows Mobile Center).

2) The Wireless Network Driver is "Intel (R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN (version 12.4.1.4)".

Checks indicate that this is the most up-to-date driver, although I have tried de-installing and re-installing the driver. It makes no difference.

3) I have tried running the Network Troubleshooter. The diagnostics tell me that the wireless capability is turned OFF (but when it attempts an automatic fix it says it cannot fix it) and it also says it detects a problem with the wireless adaptor.

4) I have tried executing the network command instructions recommended at the end of the troubleshooter. These make no difference.

5) I have tried changing the wireless adaptor settings by de-installing "Client for Microsoft Networks" under "Properties" and then re-installing it after a reboot. This makes no difference.

All of the above suggest (to me) that there is no problem with the router or the broadcasting from the router as the rest of the wireless network is ok. It suggests a problem with either the wireless adaptor or the driver in the Laptop, but I have no idea
how to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.
