As explained above, the issue I am having is I'm unable to see any wireless networks at all on my PC. The network adapter is listed as working, and I am able to access the wireless networks from other devices. Problem started on Tuesday this week. After trying to troubleshoot for some time, I ended up just doing a fresh Windows install, this fixed the immediate problem, however after an hour or so the problem recurs. Strangely, when I system restore back to immediately after the fresh install, I'm still unable to see any wifi networks.I've tried all the recommended steps I've seen elsewhere - r

  2. System Restore Point Disappeared

Performed all steps you recommended. It didn’t help. Created restore point disappeared in about half an hour. The following message appeared: “No restore points have been created on your computer system drive”.

Not Detecting ANY Wireless Networks...System Restore No Help

I have a Dell Inspiron 560 Desktop that is running Windows 10. It says that there are no wireless networks to connect to, and it tells me I need an ethernet cable to be connected to the internet. I tried several options, but none of them have worked:

    1) Restarted my wireless router.
    2) Restarted my computer.
    3) Tried to do a system restore, but it told me there was one file that the computer "could not access" and the system restore could not be completed.

I went to "Device Manager" and right-clicked on the network adapter (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller) and selected "update driver software." It told me the most up to date drivers are already installed.

Can anyone give me any other suggestions? My computer is in my bedroom and my wireless router is in the living room; I would rather not have to run an ethernet cable that far. Thanks!

Change Wireless Network Connection Priority Order in Windows 10

Hello Denis, Wireless Networks - disappear an hour after a fresh Windows install. System Restore does... :)

The command in step 2 of Option Two should show your wireless networks listed in priority order. Top of the list is higher.
