Wireless Networks don't display, hardware works fine

I've seen this issue posted by a few different people, but I've not been able to get mine to work as of yet. Here's the rundown:

When clicking on the network connection icon in the system tray, wireless networks are not shown.

-Drivers have been deleted/ reinstalled multiple times and different versions.
-When using netsh wlan show all from the command prompt, I can see all local networks.
-I have verified the following services are active and running: Windows Connection Manager, Radio Management Service and Wireless AutoConfig.

I have also tried the fix listed here: Fix No WiFi Available After Windows 10 Upgrade Issue, Here's How | Redmond Pie

The odd thing is I can see the available wireless networks from the login screen. I've tried logging in under another user and have the same issue.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    :)

I've read all the posts and tried everything but still can't get see or get pc to connect to wifi. All other pc's and smartphones in home see wireless network and connect fine. PC connects with Ethernet. Worked fine and suddenly jus lost connectivity,
now pc doesn't even display wireless network. At start up displays RA Wi-Fi not detected error.

Window did not detect any networking hardware

My wifi was working just fine but suddenly it stopped working. I get nothing except Airplane mode when i click Connections icon in taskbar. I ran troubleshooting and it identified no issue. Even in device manager the network adapter driver is installed and
it says working properly. but when i click connect to internet in Network and sharing it says no networking hardware.

My laptop is Haier Y11B and wifi hardware is Realtek RTL8723B Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network.

    Hi

    Just to be certain...

You cannot connect to a WiFI network?
    Ethernet is working correctly?

I have a few commands, some gleaned from here...

Code: This short script is to gather information on some parts of your system OS, Networking Hardware and Software etc. Copy and paste the section between the ~~~~ lines, and paste into NotePad. Save as PN.bat somewhere easily accessible. Double click to Run Then run as Administrator to create the output files if desired. The output files can be edited to remove SENSITIVE details before posting. Delete the output files immediately after use. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ @ECHO OFF systeminfo ms32info ipconfig -all netsh wlan show interfaces netsh wlan show drivers netsh wlan show profiles netsh wlan show profile name=????????? key=clear PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter" PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver" PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed" PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection" PAUSE PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter > C:\GNA.txt" PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver > C:\GNB.txt" PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed > C:\GNC.txt" PAUSE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The name=????? is derived from the profiles listing.[/quote] Stating the obvious, run as administrator, sorry if you already do.

That will produce reams of stuff, most of it will be duplicated, so maybe select only the good ones, but I just hope there is a clue.

Thanks for the feedback. Here's some clarification.

I can see WiFi networks from the login screen. Once logged in (under any user) I cannot see wireless networks. If I've selected a network prior to logging in, I stay connected. Windows will also auto re-connect to known wireless networks when logged in. Ethernet works fine.

Here is the output requested @johndough

EDIT: Removed output. New output added below.

You need to leave the SSID names, Workgroup and LAN names in that report. Otherwise it is useless at this point. You can also use Speccy for the system info and networking, it will strip out your Public IP on the WAN of the gateway. You just need to post the URL it gives you after you run it.

From what I can tell, is that your Elitebook is using Cellular and the Wifi is off while the cellular is connected, possibly because of not wanting it to be a hotspot for security reasons. The big item that stood out is that it is not using AES.

Cellular connections are hard to diagnose, since there are no real tools to dump the information, except the tech stuff. That you have to use the dialpad or dial it as what we would call it, so that it gives info.

See the following link Look at the info in the 5th post. Appears that the Gobi adapter is just a rebranded Huawei unit. Solved: HP LT4112 Gobi 4G Driver / Software - Page 2 - HP Support Forum - 5086305

I take it that you have already tried the following: HP Notebook PCs - Connecting to a Cellular Broadband Wireless Network (WWAN) (Windows 8) | HP® Customer Support
There is the diagnostic software for the Cellular Modem. You can try it if wishing to see if there are any updates needed for it. HP lt4211 Gobi 4G Diagnostic Driver 1.0.1.24 for Windows 10

The Cellular radio is on but not being used. There is no SIM in the system.

If I disconnect from the LAN, the WiFi will connect.

You do not need a SIM card for that Mini PCIe card for the Cellular modem. It has a eSIM like the new Apple Watch 3 has. With the first question about the SSID's not showing, Speccy or netsh wlan show all, inSSIDer, would all show available wifi, even if you are connected. The catch is that you do not want the wireless adapter always hunting for available Hot Spots.

Even on LAN, you should still see a scan for Wifi or Cellular, unless it is turned off to not seek roaming wireless networks. For security purposes, you do not want the machine looking around for available wifi, and then end up grabbing a connection that can sit there and siphon off info without you knowing. You also do not want your cellular radio running and eating up data, while on LAN. The first link in my above post, seems to hit on a fix.

Exactly how it should work on ALL HP laptops. Has been like this for as long as I remember. If you connect the LAN cable back in, your computer will disconnect instantly from WiFi and put the interface to "sleep".
