  1. Wireless Projection to another laptop

Hello everyone,I'm trying to connect 2 laptops via bluetooth so I can expand my display, but the problem is it only connects one way. When I use my ASUS to project to my HP it connects perfectly and I am able to project to it, but when I try to project my HP to the ASUS it can't even find it on bluetooth. I know that the bluetooth works, otherwise I couldn't have projected one way. Am I doing something wrong or is there a driver I need to install? If it's relevant, the ASUS is running on Windows 11 and admittedly newer than the HP. The HP is running on Windows 10

    :)

Project connect to wireless device issue

    Hi Kari,

    Thanks for the reply.

My tv is definitely connected to my wifi; I've tried restarting the tv, and disconnecting/reconnecting to my wifi, but the tv still isn't showing up in the list of devices when trying to use 'project'.

I actually had issues with this before, but after a significant update about a week ago, I noticed that it was showing up in the devices list. I'm unsure what could have changed tonight.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Wireless Projection to another laptop :) Is there maybe some way to 'clear' (for lack of a better word) any saved devices on my laptop so I can start fresh with project?

    Wireless Display will not project

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It's unfortunate that you are facing this issue. Let me assist you to resolve the issue.

To be able to mirror the screen on a third-party device, you need to make sure that the source as well as the receiver have Miracast support. If the manufacturer of the third-party device has mentioned that the device supports wireless display, then
you can be rest assured of the Miracast compatibility with the device.

To use miscasting on your computer, please follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    • To access project option on Windows 10, press the
      Window + P keys together.
    • If your computer supports the Miracast display, then you will see an option as
      Add a wireless display.
    • Click on Add a Wireless display. It will start searching for the new displays which are available in the range provided. Once you find the required device on the search results, click on the
      device name.
    • Now Windows will install the required drivers on the device and shortly you will see the third part display displaying your device.
    • Later if you want to disconnect the device, you can do the same from your computer by going to the project screen (Windows + P keys) and clicking on the
      disconnect option.

    Additional Information:

Project to a wireless display with Miracast

Fix connections to wireless displays or docks in Windows

Hope the above information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance regarding Windows.
