Windows 10: Wirless PC can be seen by desktop but desktop cant be seen when I go to Network in neither....

Wireless PC can be seen by desktop but desktop cant be seen when I go to Network in neither. I have network discovery in both on and why Desktop see wireless but wont see itself?

Computers not seen on Microsoft network

This is a real strange situation: We have a local network of about 15 Windows 10 computers (desktops and laptops). When browsing the 'Network' via File Manager, we can see only 8 of them - the same 8 are seen everywhere. We can still access those that
we don't see, by using their \\computer-name.

There are many discussions on the web about the need to define the Function Discovery Resource Publication service as "Automatic" and restarting it. After playing a little with this service's properties in one of the "unseen" computers, including some playing
with its "Log On" properties -- this computer suddenly became seen to all, but another computer (which was previously seen) became unseen to all.

Any help or ideas?

 

Network PC discovered by wifi laptop but USB printer attached to Network PC not seen ?

Network Host PC seen on wifi laptop but USB printer attached to host PC not seen by wifi laptop.

My printer is wired via USB cable to my network host computer. When I access the network from my wifi laptop said printer is not there?

I have worked through all the settings for sharing on both PCs and everything looks fine. i have used the "find a printer by other options" and selected "select a shared printer by name". I entered \\DESKTOP-H2DD7V1\HP LaserJet M1319f MFP and hit the browse
button. The host PC H2DD7v1 appears and when I dbl click on it no printer name appears?

This process has worked in the past with two wired PC's sharing this same printer. Any Ideas?

Network reset required frequently for computer to be seen on network

People have been offering suggestions to fix this problem for years. I have these suggestions have a best been only a temporary fix. The problem always comes back. The only thing that helps is a batch file that someone wrote on this forum: Code:

Running it on each computer sometimes hurries thing along so all the computers starting showing up in the network. Note it works on computers with Windows 7, 10 & 11 but not Windows XP. I find it annoying to have to do even this so I have a fallback. I have a folder on every computer's desktop called My Network.

In that folder I have shortcuts to every computer on my network.

To create a shortcut to a network computer is simple. It is \\ + <ComputerName>. For example, the shortcut to the computer EventHorizon is \\EventHorizon. Note these shortcuts work with computers with Windows XP, 7, 10 & 11.
