    Wish to retrieve written work saved umpteen times to a file. !!! Know its there.....but...


    I have been writing and saving for some days now.......as I regularly do. Only to find this morning that what I wish to open, which has a file name, and is saved !...is not there....a blank page.


    I have saved this letter time and time again, as have been updating for some days. Its strange, as I have never had this problem before.


    Is there any other way I might seek and find?

    Can I retrieve the file saved in these situations?

    I usually screenshot and save directly to imgur.com without saving into my pc.

    Successfully uploaded url image now after I uncheck [Retrieve remote file and reference locally (required)].
    I would suggest this forum to make Retrieve remote file and reference locally (required) unchecked by default.

    Did you mean search for recoverable files using Autospy? Did Autospy recover your file the last time you tried it?

    Saves log files ?

    You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

    Download CCcleaner from here...........

    CCleaner Professional | Try the world’s most trusted PC cleaner, free!

    You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

    Windows 10 Home: Extremely Long Boot Times & Sometimes Not At All

    Thanks for the suggestion but this didn't work. And for completing step 3 and 4 I had to reverse them and perform step 4 1st and then step 3 next. I don't know if going out of order makes a difference but the two times I'd try to do step 3, it came back with a message saying my only options were On or Off.

    And just for clarification on Step 2 what kind of file did you place in the c root to take up the hiberfile space? A video file? That's what I did, specifically Back to the Future, with a little bit of wishful thinking that it would take my system back in time to a point when it was working.
