    With DISM RestoreHealth failing often, will microsoft ever make a tool to fix an installation?


    I run SFC /scannow every once in a while on a PC that isn't working quite right. Sometimes it finds errors that it cannot fix. That's when I move onto DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. More often that not, this operation fails at about 60% saying the source files could not be found. I my opinion, that's a problem with Microsoft and not my windows installation. It's a huge pain to download the ISO, lookup the correct syntax on how to extract the install.esd file to a wim and get DISM to use it the way it needs to repair the windows system. My question is, will Microsoft ever cre
