With Microsoft Family, how can a child view their remaining screentime?

My child wants to be able to plan ahead in using their allotted screen time set using Microsoft Family. Is there a way they can view the remaining screen time on their device? It would be great if they could see a countdown timer. Thanks

    :)

  3. Cannot add child to family

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft community. I regret the inconvenience caused to you. Let me help you.

I suggest you to refer the following steps to check if that helps.

Add your child's Microsoft account to your family.

    1. Sign in at account.microsoft.com/family.

    2. Go to Select a child to view or edit their settings and
    select Add
    .

    3. Enter the email address your child uses to sign in to Windows 10 and
    select Send invite.

Your child will need to accept the invitation from their email address.

Once your child has been added to your family with a Microsoft account, you’ll be able to set up appropriate website and app and game restrictions for their age, set PC time limits, and review their recent activity. Their settings will apply to any Windows
10 device that they sign in to.

I also suggest you to refer the below link for more information.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/set-up-family-after-upgrade

Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us with more information and we’d be happy to help.

    • To remove a child, choose Remove at the top of the section labeled Select a child to view or edit their settings.
    • Select the person you want to remove from the family.
    • Select the Remove button that appears when you've chosen the person to remove.

Add child account to your family

    • Sign in at account.microsoft.com/family.
    • If this is your first time setting up a family, select Add a child.

If you've already added child accounts to your family, go to Select a child to view or edit their settings and then select Add.
    • Enter your child's email address and select Send invite. If your child doesn't have an email address, select Create a new email address for your child and follow the instructions on the screen.
