Windows 10: With the last update Win 11 when I use 2nd screen, my laptop isn't detecting main screen

My laptop is Lenovo Legion 5 pro, Win 11, Version: 22H2With the last update when I use 2nd screen my main screen not apper in Device manager > Monitor.Neither in system > Display > Advanced displayWhen I disconnect the 2nd screen the main screen the laptop screen doesn't turn on but stays in black.and the Touchpad dosen't work too.Help

Laptop with broken screen How much?

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

Yes, that's exactly it. There is no indication anywhere that the 2nd monitor is detected.

Your suggestion about connecting the screen to another Windows 11 device intrigued me. I happen to have an Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop which is running Windows 11. I connected the Waveshare screen to this using the USB for power and the HDMI for video and it was detected right away!

So my initial thoughts about this being a purely Windows 11 issue may be wrong. As the screen can be detected on the Windows 11 laptop. But not my newly built Windows 11 desktop.

So this does look like a hardware compatibility issue now.

 

Looking for help with laptop screen

It's quite easy to replace a screen, try to find a disassembly guide for the specific model of laptop so you have a step by step indication of where to take screws out and what clips to unclip. There might be some youtube videos as well. Always make sure the replacement screen is compatible as there can be different connectors.
