Windows 10: WLAN services is automatically stopping in win1809 version

Hi All,


Good day to all,


I am experiencing issue with Wi-fi in a recent time on windows 10 (1809 version) that WiFi is not working, When i checked wlan service is not running on the machine.Even if i started manually, once the machine restarts again it will goes to previous state( service is stopping).


Any idea why services is getting stopped automatically ,tried to keep the service is in automatic but post restart again it is in stopped state.


Tried to update wi-fi driver from OEM sites, still issue with the same.


Tried restore not helps.


Am looking for your assistance to resolve this issue, Thank you .

Windows WLAN Service: Regular ping spikes on a stable WLAN connection

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

First Verify if the WLAN service is started and set to automatic, if the WLAN service is stopped, I would suggest you to start the service and put it to automatic.

Step 1: Please follow the steps to
start the WLAN service.

• 
  Click on Start, type in services.msc
  and press Enter.
  
• 
  Select WLAN Autoconfig from the list, Right click properties
  
• 
  Change the startup type to Automatic.
  
• 
  Click on Start button.
  
• 
  Click on Apply, Ok.
  

Restart the computer and verify if it works.

Also check if all the dependencies are also running. Try the steps to check Dependencies.

• 
  Right-click on WLAN Autoconfig and select Properties.
  
• 
  Click on Dependencies, you will find all the dependency services under box labeled this service depends on the following system components.
  

Step 2: If still you are facing issues, then
uninstall and reinstall the drivers

• 
  Click start.
  
• 
  Type devmgmt.msc in Start
  Search.
  
• 
  In Network adapter you will find the device, right click on it and select the option
  uninstall.
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check reinstalling the drivers.

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
