Windows 10: Wlan suddenly doesn't work and cannot enable wireless network adapter

Hi,


it has been a while that my new Dell-laptopWin 10 suddenly disconnects Wifi for no reason, but then will reconnect to Wifi after several seconds. Starting from the last week, after disconnecting the wifi, my laptop cannot find any wifi signal. In the control panel, the wireless network adapter is disabled and even i click on "enable", nothing happens.


The only solution i found useful is to restart my computer. But then it takes very long and it ends up with a blue screen with a error code "Power state failure". I think that is because there's something wrong with the network adapter? But if i restart my computer again, the wifi is working again.


I am wondering if there is any solution or the adapter is broken? It is pretty annoying because it just happens suddenly while using. Thank you so much for your help!

Windows 10 Cannot enable wireless adapter

How are you trying to enable Wireless adapter?

We would suggest you to follow the below step and check if it helps:

• From the desktop press Windows flag key + R and type devmgmt.msc and click ok.
• This will open device manager, now scroll down and expand network adapter, right click and select enable.
• If you still have issues enabling wireless adapter, right click the uninstall it and reboot the computer and check if it helps.

Wireless Adapter not working

Method 1:

Step 1: Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

NO Internet - Wlan password change not possible!

Are you seeing your Router in the Wireless Connection list when clicking on the icon in the Notification area? If so, clicking your Router's name in that list should give a choice to connect then enter the password you set in the Router. That routine works also in Linux and Mac OS X, not exactly OS/Operating System specific.
