Windows 10: Wlansvc BSoD

Hello,

I have an Acer Predator 15 G6-591 running windows 10. I have had an issue for the past month of my ethernet driver being intermittant. I uninstalled and reinstalled Killer networking about 5 times within the past two days hoping that would fix the issue. While doing so, I decided to uninstall “Killer Driver 2.2.1460” independently from the network manager from “add or remove programs” in system settings. Now, whenever WLAN AutoConfig runs in services, I get an immediate BSoD with IRQL not less or equal as the reason. Once I am logged in after disabling wlan autoconfig in safe mode, I can start the program, but when i stop the program, it gives me a BSoD with “Kernal security check failure” as the reason. Any help would be very appreciated... wifi is kinda important when ethernet isn’t an option.

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

 

Problems with WLANSVC

Hi everybody,

After the last automatic Update of Win 10 1511 (I run Win 10 Pro x64 from Original Win 7 Pro x64 (not OEM), I have had some (Little) problems, partially solved.

First, update KB3122947 was installed without problems, but update KB3116908 altough correctly downloaded it was necessary to install manually using cmd console (thanks to an old post of Win 7 at this support.microsoft site).

Well, after these updates I have two problems:

- Automatic Windows Update services seems not run and I need to start manually.

- WLAN Services (WLANSVC) suffers continuous turn-off, losing my network and Internet Access. I need to Restart manually the WLANSVC though Services at Host Adminstration.

Can you help me to fix these issues, overall the WLANSVC problem?

Problems with WLANSVC

I have the same problem - Windows 10. Problem is not with the network adapter - it is with the service, WLANSVC, shutting down. After restarting the service things work fine for 5-20 minutes, then the service just stops. Everything was fine before the
1511 update. I have tried a different wireless adapter (USB), with exactly the same issue. Very frustrating. There it goes again - I have to restart the WLANSVC just to post this!
