    HelloHaving the same issue as reported here by a user in Windows 10: wlidsvc Access is denied - Microsoft Community which was technically never solved.My issue seems to have started after the original feature update for 23H2 installed on 3/31/24:Since then, I noticed on my Lenovo PC not old at all and was working just fine prior that I have been unable to sign into any microsoft-owned app such as Office 365 Word, Excel, my Outlook, etc, Microsoft Store and even MS Edge now will not sync my MS Live profile. I have also NOT installed any other software other than the feature update and aga

    Hi,

    First of all thanks for reading this post.

    I am not able to sign in to any application on my windows 10 enterprise edition since a month.

    I learned on net that Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant is necessary to sign in to any app with microsoft.

    So, i checked services.msc and i saw Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant(wlidsvc) is stopped.

    So i tried to switch it on but i get an error:

    unable to start wlidsvc service. Error : Access denied error code 0x80070005.

    Please help me and Thanks in advance.

    • What is the complete error message along with the error code of this issue?
    • What exactly are you trying to perform prior to this issue?

    I would like to inform that Error 0x80070005 is a Windows Update error.

    If you are facing this issue while installing the Windows Updates, I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft Support article, try the troubleshooting steps suggested and check if it helps.
