    Hi,

WMIProviderHost is continuously using 20% of the CPU. I have a relatively strong power computer, and it forces things to crash.

I have tried several of methods from this forum, and other places on the internet, none of which have helped.

I have tried restarting Windows Management Instrumentation through Services. That didn't do anything. I've tried stopping the service all together. And it still was using 20% of the CPU.

I have tried locating whatever may cause the WMI to behave this way, trough Event Manager. But the errors PID doesn't show up in Task Manager under the Services tab, nor when trying to locate it using Command Prompt and "tasklist".

Any suggestions on what to do? It is severaly limiting my computer.

    :)

    WMIProviderhost CPU usage

    HI

Since upgrading to windows 10 i have been getting a process called WMIProviderhost using the CPU which can sometimes spike up to 30% usage. I have a suspicion that it could be something to do with Intel rapid storage technology although I may be mistaken.

    Thanks in advance

  3. Solved: WMI Provider Host (High CPU Usage and Laptop Overheating) Windows10

In my case, it was Adobe's Creative Cloud background management app. Once I exited that app, my 10--20% constant CPU WMIProviderHost process disappeared.
