    WMP and Duplicates some more than 6-8 times the same song!


    I use Window 10. I guess that means I have WMP 12 I can't find 'About' or 'Help' section. My problem is I have about 3,400 songs/videos. Most are doubles. Some have between 6-8 copies of the same song. This leads me to believe that I am wasting a lot of space - in addition to the program just looking like an 'eye-sore' when it displays so many copies of the same song. I did not know that I was limited to sharing just one screenshot. So, I'll discuss how I get my music into WMP. Under 'Organize' -- 'Manage Libraries' -- 'Music' -- I get/collect my music and my videos from my Music f

    WMP Duplicates songs (up to 6 times). Running Windows 10. I have followed the 2 Methods, suggested, to correct this (Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.) with
    no luck.

    Is there actually a cure for this or is this something I am going to have to struggle with, short of purchasing another program?

    (I am not sure if the first sentence will be as huge in my post as it is when I am writing this. If so I am sorry. I could not make it normal size.)

    Some WMP songs will not return to itunes library

    When I try to access specific songs in itunes it says "file location not found" yet I can call the song up on wmp and listen to it.
    Sometimes when I list the album in itunes the song is missing and other times it is grayed out. I am trying to put music to a video but I can only do it through itunes. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have spent too much time watching facebook videos on how to sync these two programs

    WMP Duplicates songs (up to 6 times). Running Windows 10

    I am running Windows 10. I have ripped over 1500 albums. On a significant number there are duplicate songs (up to 6 duplicates) for an entire album. I have manually deleted them, on a few, but they come back. This has been happening for a few years
    (I downgraded to Windows 8 & 8.1 (from XP), then to Windows 10, in hopes of a better platform.

    I have searched the forum and have found no effective solution.

    Is there a way to stop the replication and delete the duplicates automatically?
