    WMP keeps resizing?

WMP has stopped working as it should, keeps making me resize the program every time I play a file after opening it up, needs to stay the size that I left it, no matter what file i play. The solutions in this link are not working... https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-can-i-keep-media-window-player-size-on-the/e9b7e26a-db3f-43e5-bd8a-d1203818a4b3Is it possible to reinstall just WMP to fix this, as opposed to running system file checker or doing an In-Place Upgrade? I do use a Codec Tweak Tool, so i know that may be related, am seeking help there too... https://forum.vi

    WMP Problem

It should be there. Let's try again, step by step.

First, find out what version of Windows you have. Use the Winkey + R to bring up the 'Run' box, type Winver then click OK. You should see a version number, 1511, 1607 or 1703.

If you have 1703, open Settings > Apps. For any other version open Settings > System.

Click on Default in the list to the left (in 1703 it's called Default apps).

Scroll down the list to find 'Video player'. This will probably say the default is 'Films & TV'. Whatever it says, click on it to bring up a list of possible apps to set as the default. You should see something like this with Windows Media Player in the 'Choose an application' list. Click on Windows Media Player and it will become the default for all types of video.

    Hello,

    • Have you made any changes to the system prior to this issue?
As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to perform system restore to the previous point
    where it was working normally.

To do so kindly follow the below given steps:

    • Press Windows + I key and click on Update and security.

    • Click on Recovery, and click on
      Restart under Advance startup.

    • In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, click
      'Troubleshoot'.

    • Click, Advanced Options and then click on
      System Restore.

    • Follow the onscreen suggestion to restore your PC to earlier point.
Keep us posted with the status of WMP issue to assist you further.

    Thank you.

    WMP keeps resizing?

    Keeps resizing after sleep

Hopefully I can explain this properly.
I'm having an issue with video. Ever since i upgraded to a gtx 660 ti when returning from sleep the resolution seems to change.
I keep having to "resize" the desktop slightly.
Its fine returning from games, or anything else seems to be fine...but everytime my monitor goes into sleep and I wake it, the screen is wrong. Either it will have black bars all the way around the screen, or it will be too large for the screen.
Its easily fixed using the resize button in the nvidia control panel, but its getting old.

The system was freshly formatted when I upgraded.
I've tried uninstalling drivers and re-installing using the latest versions to no avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
