Windows 10: WMP won't burn a CD

Discus and support WMP won't burn a CD in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I am running Window 10 on a desktop PC with all the latest updates (I think.)     WMP won't burn a CD


    I am running Window 10 on a desktop PC with all the latest updates (I think.)


    I've been trying to burn a CD and get stopped after numerous attempts. I don't see any icons to indicate where the problem is as shown in the screenshot below.


    After this problem, I restarted my PC and then divided the list in thirds and was able to burn a third of the list at a time with no problems. I restarted again and removed as many as three mp3s from the list but am still blocked from burning.


    Is sure would be nice if WMP showed what the problem is.


    What am I doing wrong?

    WMP wont burn CDs

    Just started today for the first time I get this message when trying to burn CDs.

    "WMP cannot burn some of the files. To investigate the problem, click the icon next to the files in the burn list." I found the icons finally, but when I click on them, I just get a "no info available" prompt. Anyone have any advice for me?

    How to burn a document to a cd in windows 10

    Hi Elaine,

    To assist you better, answer the below questions

    • Are you facing any difficulties to burn a document to a cd?
    • Are you using any third party tool to burn a document to a cd?
    I suggest you to follow below steps to burn cd and check if it helps.

    • Insert CD/DVD.
    • Open the CD/DVD drive in File explorer
      icon from the taskbar, copy and paste the required document to the
      CD/DVD drive.
    • Click on Burn a Disc.
    • Follow on the on screen instruction.

    WMP won't burn a CD

    Burning a music CD with WMP on Windoze 10

    Hi, I have a new ASUS laptop that uses OS Windows 10. For the first time since I got it, I can't bun a music cd from WMP. It starts the process but about halfway thru, an error box comes up and tells me that the cd can't be finished and to get help online.
    HA!

    I tried the solution offered here and for some reason my laptop won't let me move music files to a burn list so I can burn a cd from there.

    I decided to load my older version of Nero Essentials but when I tried to drag and drop songs to it, I would get an error box saying I didn't have the correct "dedicated plugin" or the file extension couldn't be read by Nero. ****?

    I downloaded something called "Driver Assist" to fix it but in order for that to happen, I have to PAY for it! I see this as a Windoze problem and shouldn't have to buy plugins or drivers just to burn a cd which worked just yesterday!

    What can I do?

    Should I buy another CD Burning program which I would rather do than spend $40 on a Driver Assist fix it program!

    Is there a plugin for WMP that can be downloaded for free that can fix WMP?

    Thanks for helping out this frustrated lady! WMP won't burn a CD :)
