Windows 10: WMP12 Low quality album art

Okay so I was wondering why WMP is showing low quality versions of the high quality album art I have.

Here is an image to show you the difference.

Hi Charles,

Let's try running the Windows Media Player library and settings troubleshooter to resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

a. Press “Windows key + W”.

b. Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.

c. Select “View all” option from the left panel.

d. Select “Windows Media Player Library”.

e. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

You may also try the above steps to run the “Windows Media Player Settings” troubleshooter.

You may also try to copy the mp3 files to a different location on your computer and check if the album art is displayed correctly on Windows Media Player.

WMP12 album art not showing, album art is in folder (Windows 10)

The album art is showing in the "small wmp" which is actually "now Playing" feature. They just won't show in the maximised WMP.

 

I found out how to solve this on my own. Get to the options menu however you choose and click on the Library tab. Then un-check "Retrieve additional information from the Internet"

This worked ONCE but then after a new song played it goes back to the low quality artwork...really WMP
