Windows 10: Wny did my PC D: drive wipe almost everything off itself?

Randomly loaded up my PC to find around 800GB of data just wiped off my D Drive no reasons or anything i restarted my pc and it restored nothing and for some reason it kept 1 random steam game and almost nothing else like photos or other apps such as spotify, if anyone has an idea why this happened or how to fix it a solution would be appreciated.Whenever i try to redownload a steam game it starts at around 30% too i dont know if that helps

Installing to a second Drive. D: or external (Non Boot up Drives)

1. As usual install the game on the PC’s in
   C Drive.
   
2. Insert the external

3. Press Windows + I key from the keyboard to launch

4. Select Apps and click on
   Apps & features from the left pane.
   
5. Search for the installed game from the list on the right pane.
   
6. Single click on the game and select
   Move.
   
7. Select the D drive under
   Choose a drive where you want to move the game.
   
8. Restart the PC with the external drive connected and then launch the game.
