Windows 10: WOL does not work in only shutdown

HelloI have a strange problem, on Windows 10,WOL not working only in shutdown the lan led work fine ,every time I send wol packets from mobile app or win7 from other pc, lan led flashes this means that the packets are sent correctly also "In sleep mode wol works fine".I read this link in full I read many articles, but none of them worked :I hope someone can solve my problem.my MB : b560-f gamingnetwork card : IntelR Ethernet Controller 3 I225-V

WOL from shutdown


I am trying to get my computer to work with WOL from shutdown.

Motherboard is Asus Sabertooth x77.
In the UEFI the only settings I can find is Power on by PCIE/PCI which is enabled (says to for WOL function), then I see a option to boot from network devices which I don't know if it has anything to do with WOL but tried the 3 settings and it did not help.

I am trying to get it to work over LAN then I want it to work over WAN.

I should be able to WOL directly from my router (and WAN) as I can login into my Asus router remotely) The router has a option to WOL directly in the router settings.
I also have phone WOL apps that send the packets but don't work.

I can get it to work with sleep or hibernation but not shutdown so seems to be a motherboard setting I am missing.

Any help will be appreciated.

 

WOL won't works without disconnecting cable power

Hi everyone,

I have an issue that i can't find the solution, when I make a shutdown in order to made a WOL, it won't works if i don't disconnect the cable power before.

When I disconnect the power cable and reconnect it then WOL works perfectly.

I compared the bios of another client that WOL works and everything is equal. Same S.O. ... NIC properties the same, same network adapter....

Any idea?

Laptop updated to 1809. Can't get WOL to send out...

Not sure the topic is exactly accurate. Here's the story:

• Have been successful sending WOL to 2 other PCs in the house
• Had problems with laptop and sent to HP. They upgraded it to 1809
• Now when I send WOL packets the other PCs will not wake up

Given that it was working fine on those PCs before, and the noted changes are to the PC sending the packet, I'm assuming that my sending PC needs something configured.

My searches on WOL only find stuff about setting it up on the remote PC so it will wake up.

Any suggestions about why my sending PC is not sending?
