won't come back from sleep/computer frozen after using sabnzb

i've been using this program called sabnzb to download via newsgroups for some time now. The program always gave me issues - it would do this thing where after a few hours whilst downloading, if i used the computer, everything would slow down to about 1 frame every 5 seconds, if i used the mouse or keyboard or did anything - so i'd have to press reset and restart PC.

it probably still does that but now in addition - when i start the program and leave the computer downloading overnight - i come back in the morning, move the mouse, but the monitors won't wake, keyboard does nothing, the computer is on but nothing is happening. I can't even see it on teamviewer so its like its crashed in middle of the night in a weird way.

again i have to press reset. The downloads resume from i suppose whenever the computer crashed (they do make progress). What on earth is going on?

i've got the log output here from windows event viewer but not sure how to interpret it. please help me find out what is causing this?

  2. My Computer won't come back from sleep mode Windows 10

    Hi Chris,

It would be great if you can answer the following questions:

    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Were there any changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to follow these steps and try to run the Power troubleshooter:

    • Press Windows key + X on the keyboard.
    • Click on Control panel.
    • Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Control panel
      search box.
    • Click on Troubleshooting and click on View all.
    • Click on Power troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to check and install all the updates. I would also suggest you to run the System maintenance troubleshooter by following these steps.

    • Press Windows key + X on the keyboard.
    • Click on Control panel.
    • Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Control panel
      search box.
    • Click on Troubleshooting and click on View all.
    • Click on System Maintenance troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Let us know the results.

  3. Logon screen keeps on appearing after waking up the computer from sleep - Windows 10

    Hi,

This is actually the first thing we tried. The computer comes up with a message saying:

"Authentication is required when this PC wakes from sleep. To change this go to setttings and search for Power and Sleep."

The dropdown box underneath is greyed out, and inactive.

Going to Power and Sleep leads to your first suggestion, which is a dead end.

    Regards, Stewart
