Windows 10: Wont't run exe installer

    warning: I am severely technically illiterate and am constantly finding myself fighting with this laptop i got last year. It has never seemed to work right, I am constantly troubleshooting and sometimes end up making issues worse haha


    So I have a Acer aspire 3 that is a little over a year old and it's been troublesome but usable until now when I tried to install expressvpn on this laptop. I have it installed on my desktop PC and it works perfectly for reference. So I downloaded the installer from the expressvpn website and it goes into my downloads folder just like it's supposed to. The problem is when I double click it or try to run it as administrator the cursor looks like it loads for a seconds, but then nothing ever comes up. The file never actually runs. As far as I can tell it's nowhere to be seen in task manager either. I've troubleshooted online and tried everything though I might have done it wrong and nothing seems to resolve it. I've run scans, I've checked the register, everything seems to be where it's supposed to be.


    I also have barely downloaded anything on this laptop, I use it mostly for internet stuff. Everything I have downloaded is from official sources and all my virus scans come back clean. It's literally just firefox, steam, spotify, and like 2 games.


    The answer to this is probably extremely obvious like I said, completely illiterate when it comes to computers despite my efforts to learn but I would appreciate any help

    Insurgency wont install and run for me....

    I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
    I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

    I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

    First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

    Any ideas?

    Steam wont launch, steampowered hasn't been much help

    My steam wont open, using vista 64. I run the exe and it just sits in the processes not oening. They have a list of progams that may cause conflicts. I sent them my msinfo32 and they said to disable the following:

    Avast!
    Alcohol 120%
    Packet Tracer
    PowerISO

    These I have all had installed alongside steam before with no problems. I turned off alcohols virtual drive, avast on access protection and uninstalled the other 2 with no luck. Any suggestions?

    So I'm trying to open a .exe file but all it does is show the blue loading circle and it doesn't do anything. The file wont open and when I try to download the file again it wont open. I'm currently running a windows 10. Can anyone help?
