Windows 10: Word 13 update spell check

I've been using Word 13 for many years and I've never been satisfied with how the spell check works. It can't spell some of the most simple words and it can give suggestions that are wrong. No offense, but then I have to go to Google and type in the word and presto, no problem. Is there a way to update Word spell check?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow these methods below about troubleshooting Spell Checker:

Method 1: Enable Check Spelling as you type.

• Click the File tab, and then click Options.
• In the Word Options dialog box, click Proofing.
• Make sure that the Check spelling as you type check box is selected in the
  When correcting spelling and grammar in Word section.
• Make sure that all check boxes are cleared in the Exception for section.
• Click OK.

Method 2: Select language and clear Do not check spelling or grammar.

• Select the entire contents of the document.
• On the Review tab, click Language in the
  Language group, and then click Set Proofing Language.
• In the Language dialog box, select the language that you want.
• If the Do not check spelling or grammar check box is selected, click to clear the check box.
• Click OK.

Note: If this method fixes the problem, repeat steps 1 through 3 to reopen to the
Language dialog box, and then click Set As Default.

It's not just word documents, it's the internet as well. Normally, it would underline misspelled words, like if I type something into the google search bar and misspell it, before I cane even press enter, it tells me I misspelled something, but now it's
not.

My spell checker works for me. And on words with caps on, too. My setting is default (although I have second language installed).
We can go step by step from settings (check language, if spelling language is installed, then Keyboard (under devices) if spell is enabled.
