Windows 10: Word 365 Keeps Resetting Printer Page Size to Letter for All Printers

I recently had to rebuild my laptop's Windows 10 installation from scratch I started by wiping my C: Drive Etc After reinstalling the system with all patches, I then progressed to reinstalling my Microsoft Office 365 subscription. Now when trying to print existing files that were prepared using mail merge for envelopes, Word immediately changes the printer size to letter. This is regardless of the printer I have two different ones installed, the default printer settings or the document's page size. No other program such as Notepad, Excel, and Chrome, has this issue. Printer advice

hp printers have the most expensive ink of all printers, the most economical is cannon and epson so i suggest if you looking to keep costs down look at those brands.

that being said it may not have the best print quality if it uses less costly ink.

if keeping cost down is the most important then shop in reverse, find a brand that has cheap replacement ink cartridges then see what printers they are used on. then from that list look to see if you like any of those printers and if they are affordable to you, if not then select another ink cartridge and look at the printers that those are used on. this method will give you the most affordable printer and the cheapest cost of replacement ink.

Custom-Sized Form Created in Printer Driver Properties Not Displaying as a Selectable Paper Size in Excel (Office 365)

While Word offers the flexibility to create custom paper size through Page setup menu, Excel doesn't offer this flexibility to create through Excel easily. You will have to create the custom size in a particular printer (if
that printer supports custom size) and while printing through Excel, you will have to select this custom size. Sometimes you will not be able to choose the custom size as page sizes available are defined by the printer driver. Please let us know the make and
model number of your printer.



Also, make sure that you have the latest drivers. Now if you printer drivers support the size you are trying to print, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open a spread sheet that you are trying to print and press Ctrl key + P (to print).
   
2. Then Click on Page Setup.
   
3. Then click on Sheet and then on Options.
   
4. Then click on Advanced and check if you are able to choose the size under Paper/Output.

Bizarre behaviour in Printer and Scanners

I was having paper size issues with my networked HP LJ 4050 so re-installed the driver as Administrator. It installed readily and after some tray re-sizing (Letter to A4) and checking the duplexer was active, a test page and a few PDFs printed first time as expected.

I rebooted the PC and logged in as a user. I went to check the settings were as set when admin and what happened is easier to show in a short vid than to describe in words. Clicking on the printer - HP LaserJet 4050 - brings up "Manage" for the next printer in the list. Clicking on "Manage" then brings up "Manage" for the next printer, and so on.

Any suggestions? The printer and properties menu work as they should when logged in as Administrator.
