Windows 10: Word 365 View Tab View

I was working away on a Word Document (Office 365) and all of a sudden the screen appearance changed. I suspect I must have clicked on something to make it change, but I cannot figure out what. My document is "stuck" on multiple pages. I am unable to use many of the options because they are greyed out.


This is what the View Tab looks like now. It does not look like Word from Office 365.

Can someone please help me get the familiar View back? I tried to "repair" from Control Panel, but it did not fix this issue.

File Explorer Icons in View tab

The View tab in File Explorer shows the Small Icon choice when viewing file lists. But it unselects itself when I view lists in different folders.
The automatic-deselection process doesn’t happen with other icons I’ve selected (the Preview Icon, for example).

How do I get the icon to always remain selected for the file list in any folder I might open?

View IE multiple tabs in tile view

Would anybody know how to view multiple tabs in IE11 using the old "tile view"?

(I wonder whether they have disabled this altogether & replaced it with the "show previews for individual tabs in the taskbar". If they have: boooo!).

We have to navigate through 25+ tabbed browsers and trying to do this by looking at the tabs (too small!) or the taskbar (not very clear) is getting confusing.

Could somebody suggest how to open up the tabs in the old "tile view" or "cascade view"

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.
