Windows 10: Word 'Document Properties' are not diplayed in File Explorer metadata

We are using a Word template to create Invoices. In the invoice there are Custom Properties, but when the document is saved and closed, they are not displayed in File Explorer.A previous question in this forum says the issue is FIXED but not for me ;I have also set Indexing Options ON for the whole drive - as recommended in another Q.In Win 7 - this same issue was solved with anwind add-in I forget what it was called. Is one necessary for Win10?

Editing/adding additional file properties/metadata for media files

I'm in the process of trying to organise and categorise my media files using file properties/metadata. When I go to the properties of, for example, an .mp4 file, I can edit the 'details' such as Title, Subtitle, Rating, Contributing Artists, Genre, Year, etc.

However, in Explorer, when I go to 'Add Columns', there are a number of columns that I can't find in the 'Details' window of the file properties. For example, there are columns for 'Episode number' and 'Season number' (useful for organising TV shows), but I can't figure out how to add these details to files.

Can anyone tell me how I can edit/add the following metadata to media files?

• #
• Broadcast Date
• Creators
• Episode Name
• Episode Number
• Language
• Season Number

Windows 11 not displaying new word documents in file explorer

Yes it is not appearing after being saved. I can open them just fine in the Microsoft Word application but they do not appear in my file explorer and I do not have the option to open and repair following the steps you listed. I have continuously changed the save location and they do not appear no matter what I do and I am forced to make a document from within the file explorer application itself in order to submit it online.

In the past year or so I've noticed another quirk where a downloaded Word document or other Office document won't open regardless of the steps I take to open them. After deleting the file and re-downloading the document it opens without issue. I've been using Chrome almost exclusively so I'm not sure if I've experienced this with Explorer or Firefox. So one last step to try might be to obtain another copy of your files if they are being generated and fetched externally to your system (ie. try downloading them again as the file might have simply been corrupted).
