Windows 10: Word Pad

I am 77 years of age and have been using a computer for MANY years and I have NEVER had more difficulty than using your new WordPad!!!! It is in control and could not even find out how to removed the date at the bottom of the document, etc. I receive Grace Mail from my Church every day and like to share with a fellow resident, etc. and am now unable to do what I have done for MANY years. I truly can't stand how Microsoft is no longer a pleasure to use but is out of control. I have wasted a lot of ink and paper just trying to copy my Grace Mail into a word document. How do I use the old style versus WordPad? When I try using Microsoft to get answers it just takes me to the entire Internet!!


Very upset and I noticed I am NOT the only one with these concerns.

No this reply did not solve my query, but out of the 4 replies it was the.

nearest. Obviously you are all clever people, but you are all guilty of missing the basic point of the question asked.

Ok, I deleted the item which you rightly said was in Documents Thank you

Going back to word pad,and I find the items still listed!

The important bit now and what I wanted to know.....Double click on the deleted item in word pad and a notice will show Cannot find file

Click Ok in that box and then,and only then will the item be deleted from the file box in word pad

I suggest you to try searching for Word pad though the search box in the task bar of your computer and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

  Type Word pad in the search area on the task bar.

  Select the WordPad application.
  

You may also, place the WordPad in the task bar of your computer for further access. Just right click on the
WordPad and Select Pin to taskbar.
