    wordpad does not offer the print to PDF option to generate a PDF doc.


    Have windows 10. Last updated 5 minutes ago. First attempt using wordpad. typed "test" & saved doc in first option Rich something format. closed it. opened it to do the print/generate a pdf file and no such print PDF option available. Went to Windows feature, unchecked print to pdf, rebooted, rechecked print to pdf and still it doesn't provide the "microsoft print to PDF " option nor anything similar. Help. Need to create PDF generated documents for efiling. Not sure if I selected the appropriate "windows topic" - didn't see anything similar to my issue. Hope someone gets this message, and can help. thank you.

    Print as PDF

    Hello,

    How can i print any page as PDF[ to save it as pdf and print later]
    [PDFprinter/tinypdf in print option-i had this earlier but after new installation it's gone..]

    i dont want to install additional software..any plugin or osmething for same?

    Printing to PDF from Microsoft WordPad

    Im having trouble printing to PDF from Microsoft WordPad. I use this feature quite often, but since my last windows update it has not worked. After creating my WordPad file, I go to “file” then “print”. I select the “Microsoft Print to PDF” “Printer”
    in the printer selection box, then I click on [Print] . After entering my file name and location where I want to save the PDF (and making sure that the file save as type is set to .pdf ), I click on [Save]. After that I get the following error message: “Could
    not start print job.”

    I have tried a few different suggestions that I have found online, but to no avail. Can someone please help?

    These are the suggestions I have tried:

    1. Disabling and Enabling the Microsoft Print to PDF feature in Windows Features (restarting PC after each change)...(still couldnt print to PDF after this)

    2. Going to Printers and Scanners and Making the Microsoft Print to PDF printer my default printer. (still couldnt print to PDF after this)

    3. Going to Printers and Scanners and removing the Microsft Print to PDF printer then adding a “new one” in its place... (still couldnt print to PDF after this)

    Im starting to think that it may be a problem with my WordPad app?

    Anyways, can someone please help?

    Best free PDF software?

    I use:
    • UnityPDF to merge/split PDFs and to insert/extract pages
    • doPDF to create PDFs from any program that is capable of printing
    • Foxit Reader to view PDFs and to type in them
