Windows 10: WordPad in Windows 11: Insert>Paint Drawing not appearing in Ribbon

Running WordPad on Windows 10 machines there is a button on the Home ribbon to Insert a Paint Drawing, directly from within WordPad.Running WordPad on Windows 11 machines I've tried two, configured from different sources this button no longer appears. Has it been deprecated in this version, and if so, why? Or is there a way I can get it back?Any illumination would be appreciated, thank you.

MINIMIZE THE RIBBON

Windows 7 itself doesn't have a "ribbon." Perhaps you're referring to Microsoft Office 2007 or later (Microsoft Paint and WordPad also use the "ribbon" interface).

You can minimize (or restore) the ribbon in Office, Paint, and WordPad by pressing CTRL+F1.

In Office apps (including Word, Excel, etc.) you also can right-click on the ribbon and select "Minimize the ribbon." In Office apps, you can restore the ribbon by clicking the "View" menu to temporarily see the ribbon, then right-clicking and de-selecting
"Minimize the ribbon."

 

Windows 10 Wordpad

• Open Wordpad.
• In the Font group of the ribbon, choose a font style and font size. I'm partial to Calibri 11.
• In the Paragraph group of the ribbon, look for the icon in the top right corner that has arrows pointing up and down. Those are your line spacing choices.

 

Wordpad, paint, notepad not working

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you have a problem with notepad, wordpad and paint not working. What is your current Windows edition and version? Press Start then search Settings,
select System then About.

Please try to reinstall Paint, Wordpad and Notepad if it helps.

Press Start then search Manage optional features

Find Notepad on the list then click Uninstall

Restart your PC

After that, Press Start then search then search Manage optional features

Click Add a feature

Select Notepad then Install

Please try to open Notepad

Do the same for Microsoft Paint and Wordpad

Please try to check Wordpad on this location

C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories
