Windows 10: WordPad issue

I've recently had an issue where when I open a .docx file in WordPad, it is delayed for awhile but it does eventually open the file... Is there any way to fix it? There's no error code I get, since it does still work,but it's delayed and really annoys me

WordPad issue

I like to suggest you some steps as per my last experience follow these:
Click -> Start menu -> type ‘WordPad' in the taskbar-> search and click on the result. -> open WordPad.
If you’re find difficulty to open WordPad,
the Press -> Windows + R key -> type ‘Write’ -> hit enter.
You will WordPad application launching on the
screen.
or
Navigate this path C:\windows\system32\ you will see a ‘write’ (File).
The application is here now.




or
Just run an Office repair sofwtare to check if there will be any changes on the Word pad.

 

WordPad issue

One simple way is to open Wordpad, then click on the File tab and select Open. In the browse window that opens, navigate to where your .rtf file is kept, select it and click the Open button.






If Wordpad cannot open it, then try with Word as you did before, selecting the 'Open a Read Only copy' option you were offered. Once it is open in Word you can save as a different .rtf or a .doc file. Then Wordpad should be able to open the saved copy of the original file.
