Windows 10: WordPad keeps pasting duplicate URL in a document

While playing around with WordPad, just about every time I saved the file it automatically pasted a duplicate copy of a URL into the document. At one time There were 6 copies of the URL one right after the other. I even copied a blank line in order to clear out the clipboard but it made no difference. However once in a while it saved properly but so far I can't figure out what makes the difference.I just opened the document in question & re-saved it with a different filename & then opened the new name. If RTF documents are opening in Word:

Right click an RTF document, choose 'Open With' - Choose Another App

Important - Check the box marked 'Always use this app to open xxx . . .'

If Wordpad is not in the list, scroll to the bottom and click 'More Apps'

Wordpad should be in that list . . .

Choosing Wordpad form one of those lists will reset the file associations on RTF documents and they should then automatically open in Wordpad . . .

How to Print a document in WordPad?

• Open the WordPad document > Click on
  File option in the top left corner of the window > Click on
  Print option and select the printer from the list of printers.
