    WordPad suddenly defaulting to MS Mincho


    WordPad is suddenly defaulting to MS Mincho instead of Calibri. This happened shortly after I mistakenly changed the IME to Japanese earlier in the day. I cannot change the default font back to Calibri. The default font in a new document is always MS Mincho. I can change the text to Calibri in the document and type in Calibri just fine, but if I CTRL-A and delete all of the text in the document, it defaults back to MS Mincho.I am using Windows 10 Home version 22H2. I have tried deleting WordPad's registry entries and reloading them, deleting and recreating the font cache, checking font substit

    My Wordpad default template (create or edit in RTF) suddenly becomes

    How to get back my Wordpad default template. (I don't want my template to be WORD.)

    Cannot select Wordpad as default for .rtf files

    I am running windows 10. When I go into settings>apps & features and look for Wordpad it is not listed. If I go to settings>default apps>Choose default apps by file type and find the rtf file type and click on it wordpad is NOT listed. Yet I can go to
    my windows app list under Windows Accessories and wordpad is listed. I can launch it and create files so it is installed. If I click on the rtf file that was just created from wordpad it will not launch Wordpad. How can I correct this problem?

    Step 7a1 click "More Apps"

    Step 7a2 Scroll down and click "find another app on this PC" if wordpad is not listed
