Windows 10: [Workaround] customized color theme or wallpaper slideshow ? making system lag over time

Hi, as you may have notice, the customized color theme or wall paper slideshow don't remember which exactly do create huge system lag after a few hours, maybe less depending of the computer specs.I never found any fix but kill and restart explorer. So I made a bat for it, and it is only recently that I had the obvious to many idea of scheduling it.Killing and restarting explorer has few inconveniences, be warned :every opened folders will be closedexplorer may take a little while to fully load, so your taskbar may be unavailable for a few seconds, maybe more on old hardwareSo here are the

Wallpaper Slideshow Themes

For those who have a wallpaper slideshow themes, what is your theme? My current one, which I've have for the past four years, is slideshow of 2,000+ high-res artworks from major artists from western civilization, curated from Wikimedia Commons and elsewhere and meticulously cropped/edited. I really like it because it's educational, visually enriching, spans a large breadth of human history and geography, and I can always add to it, but I would really like to see what others like...

 

Bug using slideshow as background wallpaper

I've configured my windows to use slideshow as wallpaper and set the window theme based on color of the background picture. Using windows explorer, when the wallpaper changes if you are navigating through a list of itens then windoes selects the first
item from that list. Its annoying.

 

Windows 10 - Wallpaper Theme/Slideshow - Disable time interval

My enterprise has a selection of pre-approved desktop wallpapers that they'd like on each device. They want users to have the ability to right-click the Desktop, and select Next Desktop Background to cycle to the next desktop wallpaper in the selection of pre-approved wallpapers.

My current intuition leans towards grouping this selection of wallpapers as a Windows Theme, and running these wallpapers as a slideshow. The one caveat to this of-course, is that slideshow backgrounds have a time interval that they require to cycle between one wallpaper to the next.

Is there any way of disabling this wallpaper time interval?
The interval value itself sits in the registry at:

However, setting this value to 0 does not appear to stop the cycle (have attempted to reboot as well as kill/relaunch explorer.exe after updating this variable). It appears to still cycle wallpapers every 1 minute or so.

Is there any way of disabling the wallpaper slideshow time interval, while still preserving the Next Desktop Background option when right-clicking the desktop?
